TempFwd Terms of Use
Effective 30 July 2026 · version 1.0
At a glance
1. Accepting these terms
These terms are the agreement between you and TempFwd (tempfwd.com, "the site") governing your use of the service. Visiting the site, generating a temporary address or signing in to the forwarding service means you accept these terms together with the companion privacy notice; if you disagree with either, please don't use the site.
2. What the service is
The site provides two independent free services:
- Disposable email: open the page and receive a temporary address with no registration — read incoming mail live online until the address expires and destroys itself along with its messages;
- Alias forwarding: after signing in with an email code, create multiple alias addresses; mail sent to an alias forwards automatically to your real inbox, with a 30-day online archive kept on the site.
Both services receive mail only — sending, replying and re-forwarding to arbitrary third parties are not possible. This is inherent to the product's design, not a feature awaiting activation.
3. Service limits
To keep the service usable for everyone, the system enforces these limits uniformly:
| Item | Rule |
|---|---|
| Temporary address default lifespan | 3 hours, with a live countdown on the page |
| Temporary address extension | Refillable back to 3 hours; total lifetime never exceeds 24 hours from creation |
| Alias count | Up to 100 per account |
| Forwarding archive | Each message kept 30 days from receipt, then deleted automatically |
| Temporary inbox attachments | Not stored — the body alone is kept; mail with attachments over 100MB is rejected outright |
| Forwarded mail attachments | Up to 50MB forwarded and kept in the archive; 50MB to 100MB forwarded to your real inbox only, not archived; over 100MB rejected |
| Sign-in codes | 6 digits, valid 10 minutes; 60-second resend cooldown; heavy requesting is temporarily limited |
| Sign-in session | 7 days, then automatic sign-out |
We may tune anti-abuse thresholds as needed, but changes to the core product rules above will be announced through an update to these terms.
4. Accounts and security
- The forwarding service signs you in without a password: a one-time code goes to your email, and a new address is enrolled as an account on first verification;
- Your sign-in email is the account's sole identifier — keep it real and reachable, since forwarded mail and account notices all go there;
- You may enable two-factor authentication (TOTP) in security settings. Guard the authenticator and its key: losing both can lock you out, recoverable only through the manual process described on the support page;
- Any action completed with your sign-in email and a valid code is treated as yours.
5. Acceptable use
The site exists to protect your real inbox from spam and data leaks. The following is expressly prohibited:
- Any unlawful activity, including fraud, harassment, money laundering or distributing illegal content;
- Using temporary addresses or aliases to evade third-party platforms' bans, purchase limits or risk controls, or for bulk registration, coupon farming and similar violations of those platforms' agreements;
- Receiving, storing or spreading malware;
- Scraping the site, load-testing it, exploiting vulnerabilities, or churning addresses through automation to disrupt the service;
- Reselling the service or repackaging it as your own product.
We may suspend or terminate service and destroy related addresses and data for violations, without prior notice.
6. Mail and data
- When a temporary address expires or you swap it, its mail is destroyed immediately and permanently — save what you need while the address lives;
- Archived messages delete themselves at 30 days; mail and aliases you delete by hand are equally unrecoverable;
- Mail sent to a paused alias is dropped — neither forwarded nor archived;
- Mail judged to be spam is not forwarded but stays in the archive for review and appeal ("Not spam");
- Collection scope and retention periods are detailed in the privacy notice.
7. Changes and interruptions
The service is provided "as is". We work to keep it stable and continuous, but a free service cannot promise availability targets: we accept no liability for interruptions, delays or lost mail caused by maintenance, faults, upstream mail-network trouble or events beyond our control. We reserve the right to adjust, suspend or retire any part of the service; significant changes are announced on the site in advance.
8. Disclaimers
- Mail you receive through the site is authored by third parties; its accuracy and legality are the sender's responsibility, and we make no warranty about message content;
- Don't register high-stakes accounts (financial, governmental) with a temporary address: once it's destroyed, password-reset mail can never reach you, and resulting losses are yours to bear;
- Some third-party sites reject temp mail domains at sign-up; whether they accept an address is outside our control.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the site is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use or inability to use the service — including lost data, interrupted business or missed profits. In any event, our total aggregate liability to you is capped at the amount you paid for the service, which — the service being free — is zero. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Termination
You can stop using the site whenever you wish; to close an account, email support@tempfwd.com from your sign-in address. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms. After termination, data is deleted on the schedules set out in the privacy notice.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms evolve with the service; revisions update the effective date and version number at the top, and changes that materially affect your rights are flagged prominently on the site. Continuing to use the site after a revision takes effect means you accept the new version.
12. Contact
Questions about these terms go to support@tempfwd.com — we reply as promptly as we can.
